Can India Citizens Visit Taiwan?

Travel documents must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival.

Passengers must have a valid visa issued by Chinese Taipei. Nationals of China (People's Rep.) who reside in Chinese Taipei do not need a visa if they have a:- ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate, type APRC, issued to permanent residents; or- ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate, type ARC containing a multiple re-entry permit; or- ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate, type ARC with a passport containing a re-entry permit; or- ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate, type ARC with a passport and a color printed copy of a re-entry permit.).The must also present an Exit & Entry Card Taiwan Republic of China and their passport. Residents of Chinese Taipei do not need a visa if they have a:- ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate, type APRC, issued to permanent residents; or- ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate, type ARC containing a multiple re-entry permit; or- ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate, type ARC with a passport containing a re-entry permit; or- ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate, type ARC with a passport and a color printed copy of a re-entry permit. Passengers with an ROC (Taiwan) Business and Academic Travel Card issued by Chinese Taipei do not need a visa for a maximum of 30 days. Nationals of India with a normal passport and a printed Travel Authorization Certificate do not need a visa for a maximum of 14 days. The Travel Authorization Certificate is obtained at https://niaspeedy.immigration.gov.tw/nia_southeast/ . The information on it must match the details of the passport used for travel (the passenger's name must be identical). They must also:- have a resident permit or a visa issued by Chinese Taipei that has expired less than 10 years prior to the arrival date. Those with a visa bearing the remark FL (i.e., foreign laborer) or X (i.e., others) and those with a resident permit stating purpose of residence being foreign laborer, are not eligible. If the Travel Authorization Certificate was issued on or after 1 August 2018, those with a visa bearing the remark "P, Special Permission from MOFA", are not eligible; or- have a valid visa or e-visa (excluding Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) issued by New Zealand) issued by Australia, Canada, Ireland (Rep.), Japan, Korea (Rep.), New Zealand, USA, United Kingdom or a Schengen Member State. A resident permit or visa (excluding e-visas issued by New Zealand, and Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) issued by New Zealand) that has expired less than 10 years prior to the arrival date can still be used for entry. Passengers with a work permit are not eligible. Passengers with a valid e-visa issued by Australia or New Zealand must present a printed confirmation of the valid e-visa; or- be returning from Australia, Canada, Ireland (Rep.), Japan, Korea (Rep.), New Zealand, USA, United Kingdom or a Schengen Member State after having used the visa; or- have a permanent residence permit issued by Australia, Canada, Ireland (Rep.), Japan, Korea (Rep.), New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA or a Schengen Member State. Passengers with a printed R.O.C. (Taiwan) Resident Authorization (Employment Gold Card) for Overseas Applicants do not need a visa. Passengers can obtain an e-visa before departure at https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw/BOCA_EVISA/. They must have a printed e-visa confirmation.

Visitors must have a return/onward ticket, unless they have a MOFA ID card or a courtesy visa issued by Chinese Taipei.

Passengers are advised to submit the Online Arrival Card at most 3 days before arrival via https://twac.immigration.gov.tw/. Passengers who have not completed the form in advance can complete it upon arrival. Former nationals of China (People's Rep.) who have resided outside of China (People's Rep.) for more than four years and have obtained the nationality of the country in which they reside in, may enter Chinese Taipei according to the visa requirements of the nationality they have acquired. However, documentation supporting the change in nationality is required.
